Carlisle Dementia Action Alliance Launch

PPM Limited attend the Carlisle Dementia Action Alliance launch.
On Wednesday 17th May 2017, Beth Nicholls and Laura Brough, Communication and Development Officers at PPM Limited attended the launch of the Carlisle Dementia Action Alliance at Tullie House, Carlisle. The session was well attended by a variety of businesses and representatives from Cumbria County Council, Carlisle City Council and the Alzheimers Society all spoke at the launch. Peter Jones, a local Carlisle man, gave an inspirational insight into living with dementia and how we can all help.
Carlisle Dementia Action Alliance was established in October 2016. The aim of the initative was to join together a number of organisations already working hard to help people affected by dementia around the city and surrounding areas with other organisations who also have a key role to play in dementia friendly communities.
PPM Limited are hoping to join a variety of other businesses from Carlisle to support the alliance and help Dementia suffers in a number of ways including making our business more dementia friendly,
Carlisle DAA hopes for a membership spanning a wide range of sectors and with representation of local people with dementia and carers in some way.
