Car enthusiasts gave generously at the Cumbria Classic Car Show held at Dalemain House and Gardens on Sunday 20th August to help raise monies for the Great North Air Ambulance.
PPM Managing Director, Gordon McGregor, is a keen motor car enthusiast and has recently become a member of the Cumbria Modern Classics and Retro Motor Club. After attending a number of motor shows with the club, Gordon thought it would be a great opportunity to raise monies for the Great North Air Ambulance at the biggest classic car event in the region at Dalemain House, by offering the chance to get some pictures sitting in his pride and joy, his Ferrari California. Gordon has had a number of requests for the opportunity at previous shows so it seemed perfect to offer this to fellow motoring and Ferrari fans attending Sunday's show that attracts hundreds of people.
PPM Communications and Development Officer, Beth, was on hand to take snaps for any keen Ferrari fanatics. Both adults and children relished in the chance to take a seat in the impressive car and a grand total of £89.00 was raised for the Great North Air Ambulance.
Gordon said, “I’m delighted people share my love for these amazing cars and I’m really pleased we are able to raise monies for such a brilliant cause, the Great North Air Ambulance provides such an incredible service here in the North of England. Thank you to everyone who donated at the show”
The Great North Air Ambulance fly three air ambulance helicopters across the North-East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. They take pioneering pre-hospital care to rescue hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year. The service has to rely on the support of the public to survive and provide these lifesaving services, it is a community-powered emergency care service.
