Eden Housing Association's Annual Fun Day

PPM supports local fun day in Eden

On Sunday the 19th June, PPM Limited supported Eden Housing Association in their annual Community Fun Day and Car Boot at Penrith Rugby Club, in aid of Hospice at Home and The Great North Air Ambulance.

Families from the local community came to take part in activities such as Hook a Duck, The Tombola and Jewellery making. There was also the chance to grab a bargain at the car boot sale. Various organisations took part in the event including Cumbria Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Team and PPM Limited. All activities were kept to £1 to ensure valve for money for all attending the day.

PPM Limited sponsored the bouncy castle and had their mascot "Wendy The PPM House Doctor" there, who was a big hit with the children. Wendy Fun Day

Sarah Bowman from Eden Housing Association said “This is the fifth Fun Day we have run, but the first on Father’s Day so we wanted to add in a few new activities that Dad’s might enjoy. There was Ernies Shed’, old ironwork display and Eden Valley Model Aero Club, plus Pete Osborn the wood turner who demonstrated making spinning tops for the kids, the team from PACT (Penrith Action for Community Transition) who highlighted lots of really useful recycling ideas, Silverband Falconry plus plenty of opportunity to play bows and arrows with the kids".

“This year the event was held 10am – 1pm with the car boot well attended all morning. We are delighted that we managed to raise £747.75 for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland and The Great North Air Ambulance".

PPM Director Gordon McGregor attended with his family on the day, along with other staff members. Gordon said "PPM always like to support local events in the communities that we work in and strengthen our relationships with customers and clients whilst having some fun"
