Our wonderful operatives Harry and James from our PPM Penrith depot have used their PPM Volunteering Day to put together an amazing, almost full size, snooker table that was kindly donated to the Carlisle Youth Zone.
Some of our PPM team from our Carlisle Head Office and our Workington Depot went along to the North Lakes Food Bank warehouse at Lilyhall to help with packing for the Easter Lunchpacks 4 Kids Scheme. Each bag of food provides a week’s worth of lunches for children whose families may struggle to feed them over the school holidays.
PPM Elves, Elf‘Beth and Elf’Fe, from our Carlisle Head Office have been at it again for a second year, busy helping sort out all of the amazing gifts which have been donated to the CFM Cash For Kids, Mission Christmas Appeal. The appeal ensures that children throughout Cumbria and South West Scotland who are vulnerable or come from disadvantaged backgrounds, don’t wake up without a gift this Christmas.
On Friday 18th October, the whole of our PPM team embraced 'Wear It Pink' and wore very snazzy pink hi-vis jackets for the day to raise awareness of breast cancer and money for Breast Cancer Now. Money raised helps to fund world breast cancer research and life-changing support.
PPM were really excited to be part of the first ever Talent Connect event which took place in Carlisle City Centre on Saturday 21st September. The event was organised by the Young Carlisle Ambassadors, Carlisle’s next generation of budding business leaders. The Young Ambassador’s wanted to give the young people of the City, and Cumbria as a whole, an opportunity to come together and be inspired, discover high profile career opportunities, take a different look at learning and be involved in creating a bright future for themselves.
