PPM Ltd Volunteering Scheme
PPM Ltd staff support local charities.
In 2016 PPM Ltd are giving each of our employees one days’ paid leave to volunteer for a charity of their choice or to take part in planned volunteering activities in the local communities and environment.
Three of PPM Ltd staff from the Workington depot recently carried out a days volunteering for The Solway Adventure Sailing Charity, David Abernethy (Electrical Supervisor), Chris Clark (Electrician) and Garry Langley (Joiner) spent the day providing the charity with labour to antifoul below the water line and polish the hull of Solway Adventure Sailing yacht.
Ged Doran, Founder and Chairman of the charity and PPM's Operations Manager said "a finer bunch of lads would be hard to find, through giving a day to us we are now able to launch the boat sooner than expected, thank you".
As a reactive property maintenance company, we have a diverse and well skilled workforce who are willing to offer their skills and expertise for the day.
We are currently looking to identify opportunities and projects which our employees could possibly get involved with.
Do you have a project that could utilise the following skills?
• Electricians
• Plumbers
• Joiners
• General labour
• Admin Support
Who knows, if they really enjoy their time on your project, you could have a dedicated volunteer for many years to come!
