Hug a Mug is a community project aimed at boosting the wellbeing of thousands of people in and around Maryport and freeing up GP resources by providing a friendly listening ear and signposting patients to relevant support services.
PPM jumped at the chance to help get the project off the ground and also provided essential trade operatives to complete renovation works through our company volunteering scheme.
Workington Academy entered four teams into Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s £30 for 30 Challenge.
As part of Give a Day to the City in Carlisle 2017, PPM Limited got a team of 5 together to help Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Children's' Hospice in Carlisle with their gardens.
Beth Nicholls, PPM's Communication and Development Officer visited a number of local Cumbrian schools over the past two weeks, to assist with their World of Work days.
On Saturday the 28th January, Gordon McGregor, Managing Director, Beth Nicholls and Laura Brough, Communications and Development Officers and Lynsey Carruthers, HR Manager at PPM Limited, spent the night under the stars to help raise funds for vulnerable older people in Cumbria this winter.
On Saturday the 29th October 2016, Maryport's Hillside and Pecklewell Residents Association held their Autumn Festival.
On Thursday 13th October, PPM Limited attended Cockermouth School's "World Of Work Day" alongside other local and national businesses.
On Wednesday 12th October PPM Limited attended Keswick School to assist Inspira with Mock Interviews for the year 11 pupils.
On Friday the 16th September PPM Limited attended a Women In Leadership Event organised and hosted by local MP for Copeland, Jamie Reed at Whitehaven Civic Hall.
On Wednesday 14th September PPM Limited arranged for The Carlisle Parent Carers Group to have a trip to The Theatre By The Lake in Keswick to watch " Watch it Sailor" a comedy written by Philip King and Falkland L. Cary.
