It was amazing to have Robert Muldoon and Ian Hines on site with our West Yorkshire team and subcontractors talking all things mental health in construction as part of the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity's fantastic #MakeItVisible tour.

We were really appreciative to be one of the locations of the charity's Yorkshire tour and are looking forward to the team visiting our Cumbrian PPM sites in the coming month.

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity has partnered with Ford, as one of the biggest suppliers of commercial vehicles in the UK, to deliver the ‘Make it Visible’ campaign. Their highly distinguishable vans, are visiting sites across the country to deliver visible support to the boots on the ground workforce. The vehicles are manned by the Lighthouse Club’s On Site Team who are all Mental Health First Aiders with relatable experiences in the construction industry that the charity hopes will have a positive impact on workforce wellbeing and ultimately save lives.

Rob and Ian's honesty about their personal journeys was incredible!  It was brilliant to learn about everything that the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity can do to help if any members of the team or their families find themselves in need of help or in crisis. Such a fantastic initiative!!

The Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity is the only charity dedicated to providing support for construction workers and their families.  With the alarming statistic that as many as two construction workers are lost to suicide every day, according to the Office for National Statistics, it is incredibly important that we spread the word to everyone working in the industry so they know the amazing help and support that's available to them and might just save one of these lives.
